THREE QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF BEFORE LEAVING THE FITTING ROOM

Do I love it, do I love it not? My number one rule for shopping is to love it before you buy it. But what the heck happens when you just don't know? Don't rush to text your friend a picture just yet. No one knows your style more than you, but if you're feeling a little stumped answering these three questions can help clear things up.

1. Is this my style?

The answer's yes if the item is something you feel comfortable and yourself in. If you're a not a girly girl, then don't buy florals. Not into the athleisure trend why buy track pants? The item may be like something you've owned. Whatever the reason, use your personal style board to make sure this piece is YOU.

2. Does it fit me well?

Any dress can look good on a hanger, but if the dress doesn't fit well, it may not be worth buying. There's one instance where it is worth buying. If you can tailor the dress and love it enough to pay the extra cost, then go for it!

3. Does this fit with my current wardrobe?

Ever hear the rule of shopping in outfits? If you can visualize wearing the item with 3 other things you own, then it's a win.

If all else fails and you need to leave the store empty-handed that's ok, but never settle for something you won't grow to love.

Psst, feeling overwhelmed and like you can’t do this all on your own. Check out The Wardrobe Revamp where I coach you through building a functional closet you absolutely love.
